Jeanne Koller, PhD, MSW, LCSW is an Assistant Professor in the Monmouth University School of Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and came to academia with over 25 years of clinical practice experience. Dr. Koller is active in issues pertaining to older adults and serves as the Coordinator for the School of Social Work’s LGBT+ Older Adult Project (OAP). In addition to issues pertaining to aging and LGBT+ older adults, her research interests include grief and loss, social isolation and depression, and social work education. Koller is also actively involved in the School of Social Work’s Growing Together as Allies group and its Curriculum & Pedagogy sub-committee. In the community Dr. Koller serves on the Board of Trustees’ Executive Committee as Vice Chair for the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey (VNACNJ) Community Health Centers, serves on the Alzheimer’s Association LGBTQ+ Steering Committee, and has participated in several leadership summits regarding the state of NJ’s plan for addressing issues in aging. In addition, she co-leads the Central NJ regional unit, Monmouth/Ocean Chapter, of the National Association of Social Workers -NJ (NASW-NJ).
