Ms. Thompson-Wise is employed at the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS). Ms. Thompson-Wise holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Substance Abuse Studies as well as a Master of Business Administration. In her current role, she helps provide technical assistance and support to Family Treatment Court teams in Oklahoma. She is also responsible for monitoring FTC Best Practice Standards implementation as a part of the National Institute of Justice FTC research and Evaluation Grant. Ms. Thompson-Wise has extensive knowledge of child welfare practices, dependency court procedures, and FTC implementation. Prior to her position with ODMHSAS, Ms. Thompson-Wise spent 12 years in child welfare services at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) in Oklahoma County, six of those years she served as a supervisor in the FTC unit. It was during her time as a supervisor that she played an important role in the development and implementation of the Oklahoma County FTC.
