Jordyn Hagar, LICSW, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Providence College. Her research focuses on individual, organizational, and systemic change to promote social justice and equity, particularly in educational and interdisciplinary settings and with regard to the social determinants of health and mental health. Dr. Hagar engages in program development and evaluation work, which is informed by her extensive clinical experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families, supervising clinicians, and delivering continuing education workshops and trainings to educators, mental health professionals, and other community organizations. Dr. Hagar has taught several BSW and MSW courses, including generalist, clinical, and macro courses, and she has engaged in course adaptation and development.
