This study explored faculty perspectives on AI in social work education in the USA and Greece. Significant resistance to AI and apprehension about plagiarism was reported. Others were enthusiastic about innovative pedagogy, and eager for digital competencies. They envisioned social work as a leader in the elimination of algorithm bias.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion participants will be able to describe and discuss reasons for faculty resistance to AI
Upon completion participants will be able to describe and discuss the benefits of AI from the perspective of social work faculty
Upon completion participants will be able to describe and discuss how social work can take a leading role in eliminating algorithm bias and promote social justice.
