“Stories of Climate Justice and Global Environmental Change'' addresses the specific need for social workers to be global agents of change in the face of climate injustice. This panel discussion showcases qualitative research funded by the Katherine A. Kendall Institute.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Upon completion, the participants will understand case examples of climate injustice and social work advocacy through original data collection in global communities including Slovenia, Puerto Rico, India, and New Zealand.
  2. Upon completion, the participants will learn best practices and challenges to working with global communities who face climate injustice which can inform their own social work teaching, research, education and practice
  3. Upon completion, the participants will learn about applying to KAKI grant funds, and what how this grant team designed a research project to meet KAKI grant criteria.
