How do our roots affect our identities? What does it mean to be kanaka maoli and a social worker? How important is it to understand where we come from and who we are? The Native Hawaiian Interdisciplinary Health program aims to help students answer these questions and more.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will learn about a culturally grounded approach to interdisciplinary work for undergraduate students.
Attendees will learn about virtual and place-based experiential learning for undergraduate students.
Attendees will reflect on their programs and how to incorporate more culturally grounded interdisciplinary practices and place-based experiential learning in their teaching and practice.
