The author a) identifies the present circumstances and social responsibility of family caregivers (FCS) for elderly care, b) reviews literature related to the care burden and social isolation experienced by FCS, c) finally, develop a new conceptual framework that simultaneously addresses burden of care and social isolation experienced by FCS.
Learning Objectives:
The participant will be able to learn about the burden of elderly care on family caregivers.
The participant will be able to know the social isolation that family caregivers can experience when providing elderly care.
The participant will be able to learn that the difficulties faced by family caregivers are not at an individual level, but are an area that requires support at a social level.
