The current study pilots a 14-week course designed for social work PhD students encompassing the process of making laws on behalf of vulnerable populations based upon political value camps to compiling policy databases to examine against health and wellness outcomes.

Determine steps for developing lectures and assignments on policy research at an entry level for first year PhD students.
Draw implications for the future of redefining social work research and PhD programs as policy inclusive.
