This study is a holistic multi-sector study that highlights evidence-based University-Community Partnerships to improve health, increase quality of life, and reduce violent crime. Community engaged planning phase, perceptions related to prevalence of violent crime, crime contributors, relationship between the community and law enforcement, potential interventions and indigenous solutions are delineated.
