US social workers must implement cultural competence, humility, awareness, and other similar constructs while seeking to understand and provide best practices through engagement, assessment, and intervention. This poster presents the results of a systematic literature review to determine how social work students are equipped to work with culturally diverse individuals.
Learning Objectives:
This review will assess social work students' current preparedness level to engage with cultural diversity, identify gaps, and explore effective strategies.
This review will examine the effectiveness of cultural competence programs in enhancing students’ cultural competence and humility.
This review will appraise existing measures and assessment tools for cultural competence, humility, and related constructs and evaluate the strengths and limitations of current measurement approaches.
