Intimate partner violence (IPV) poses greater risk in aging populations. This study explores the lifetime experiences of IPV among older women in Taiwan by using in-depth interviews of 13 participants. Findings indicated that gender and power dynamics shape the trajectory of violence against women across their lifetime.

Conduct a qualitative study intimate partner violence among 13 Taiwanese older women.
Present the aging of intimate partner violence and the change of IPV subtypes after aging.
Discuss the IPV among older females in different cultural contexts and highlight the importance of trauma-informed services.
