Dr. Tiffany Nelson is an Assistant Professor in the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago. Her research interest advances the skill development of social workers to support the social-emotional, mental, and behavioral well-being of K-12th grade students as well as historically marginalized groups to further policies and practices that promote anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. She served as the 2021-2023 Illinois Association of School Social Workers President and is a current endowment board member for the School Social Work Association of America. Beyond her service to the profession, she is passionate about preparing graduate-level social work students to be effective, competent, and resourceful practitioners in the field.
