Shelley Theisen, MSW, LICSW had 28 years of experience as a school social worker prior to serving as the Director of Field Education for the School of Social Work (SSW) at the University of St Thomas since 2019. She is key personnel on a HRSA grant and has done extensive recruitment of HRSA-qualifying field sites in Health Professional Shortage Areas that serve medically underserved communities. In her position as Director of Field Education, Shelley is responsible for the recruitment, retention and mentoring of Field Faculty, both full-time and adjunct positions. Shelley also serves as co-chair of the Field Practice Institute and is responsible for planning and implementing all Field Instructor Training Series offerings.
