Paola M. Roldán, PHD Student

Paola Roldán is a third-year doctoral student at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Universidad del Valle, Colombia and a Master of Environmental Economics from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia.
Before beginning the doctoral program, she was a faculty member of the economics department at Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. Her research interest relies on Latinx LGBTQ+ stigma and discrimination. More specifically, she is interested in workplace discrimination faced by LGBTQ+ Latinx community in the United States.
