Dr. Caffrey is a first-generation college graduate and military (ret) spouse. She received her doctoral degree from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU). Dr. Caffrey is a seasoned social worker licensed in the state of Kansas. Dr. Caffrey’s professional career has spanned a variety of social work settings including child welfare, military social work, nonprofit management, medical social work, mental health, education and training, and teaching in higher education. Tyleen remains active in her professional development with publications, a long list of conference presentations, and professional services such as peer-reviewer for social work journals. In addition to her social work career, Tyleen has a BA in music. Dr. Caffrey is an accomplished trumpet player and is a member of Bugles Across America and Taps for Veterans sounding Taps for military funerals and events. Dr. Caffrey is a certified non-profit professional.
