Allison Tan, MSSA, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Social Work at Trinity Christian College, located just outside of Chicago. Prior to academia, she worked a a federally-qualified health center in the city as the director of HIV and Substance Abuse services and as a consultant to the AIDS Foundation of Chicago during the development of medical case management city-wide. Her scholarship has focused on the tensions and intersections between the LGBTQ and Christian faith communities. In her teaching role, she focuses on asset-based community development, research, and HBSE courses.
