Georgianna Lynn Dolan-Reilly, LMSW, PhD Candidate at Sacred Heart University, is Adjunct Professor at several universities, Outreach and Advocacy Manager for the Institute for Social Work and Ecological Justice, Community Development Specialist at the Long Island Prevention Resource Center, and freelance editor. Georgianna is a dynamic systems thinker with an interdisciplinary background in research, community organizing, education, policy, and editing. Focusing on disease prevention, health promotion, and social and environmental justice, they are dedicated to dismantling systems of oppression, and empowering individuals and communities. As an educator and researcher Georgianna has experience in quantitative and qualitative methods, and supports others in enhancing and applying their knowledge and assets. In addition to prior publications Georgianna recently contributed to the NASW textbook Ecosocial Work: Environmental Practice and Advocacy, and is developing publications on community organizing as group work, and photovoice for environmental justice. Georgianna serves on the Council on Social Work Education's Committee on Environmental Justice and is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Work, exploring the intersection of environmental social work and anti-racism. Through the above work, Georgianna combines their academic pursuits and personal and professional identities to advance environmental and social justice.
