Nicholas is a Senior Lecturer/Academic Program Associate for the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas. He earned his master’s degree at the University of Kentucky and is pursuing a doctoral degree in social work at Capella University. His experiences are robust in clinical practice, program development and management, and effective supervision. Nicholas previously worked at UMKC; Nicholas taught foundation and specialization courses, including student culminating projects. Focusing on selecting and adapting practices and evaluating interventions, policies, and programs, he strategically develops student competencies in advanced generalist social work through assignments derived from practicum and work experiences. At the University of Kansas, Nicholas continues to teach foundational social work practice and advanced clinical and macro social work courses, emboldening the students to expand their knowledge within the field of social work and prepping them for future practice.
