Allison Milam Diehl, LCSW is an Assistant Professor of Practice and Field Coordinator for the Nashville MSSW Program of the University of Tennessee College of Social Work. Prior to coming to University of Tennessee, Allison worked for a Nashville nonprofit organization, supervising a team that provided trauma-focused therapy to children and adolescents, providing individual and couples therapy, and serving as a field instructor for graduate students from multiple universities. Allison engages in several interprofessional education projects, including serving as the social work director for Vanderbilt Inteprofessional Education Collaborative and social work faculty member for the Interprofessional Education Chronic Illness Management project. In addition, Allison enjoys providing trainings and presentations on trauma, resilience, vicarious trauma, self-care, and a variety of mental health topics.
