Julia B. Hubbard, MSW in process (she/her/hers)

Julia Hubbard is a 24-year-old graduate student of the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina, Julia has spent much of her professional life thus far working with children in the Appalachian mountains. She worked for four summers at a small summer camp in Western North Carolina, which is ultimately what inspired her to pursue a career in Social Work.

Julia is passionate about child welfare and wilderness therapy, both of which she hopes to pursue after receiving her MSW. Julia is interested in direct-practice social work, however, she aspires to affect community-level change through her participation in events such as the CSWE. Julia is also fluent in Spanish and plans to work with Spanish-speaking populations in the future.
