Rose is a current graduate student and research assistant at Chapel Hill's School of Social Work, at the University of North Carolina. Born as a triplet and originally from Boston, MA, Rose graduated from the historical women's school of Smith College, with a bachelor's in psychology and Spanish. She furthered her education by studying abroad at the University of Córdoba in southern Spain, completed a business leadership certificate at Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business, and was subsequently a RISE Fellow '17 in a women's professional mentoring group. She has worked in the social services field for over 10 years, in which she developed her skillsets across diverse populations, including: domestic violence crises hotline, severe persistent mental illness (SPMI), and dual-diagnosis inpatient substance use. Rose’s passion for the intersection of organizational policy, mental health, and chemical dependency drives her research initiatives in the health care field. Her ultimate goal is to execute health care reform, utilizing evidence-based methods, to center patient empowerment in practice. She hopes to complete a PhD program following her master's degree.
