My name is Ennio Dominjer Cardozo, and I am from Caracas, Venezuela. I have been living in Salt Lake City, Utah since March 2018. Now, I live in Las Vegas from July, 2024 like a teacher. I am a political asylee, because I disagree with the policies of Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro. I had the opportunity to graduate in Political Science, Law and Education. I studied Psychology, but I couldn't finish my university degree because I had to migrate from Venezuela because I was politically persecuted. I was a University Professor at the Central University of Venezuela and other universities in Venezuela for 14 years. I also had the opportunity to study in Spain where I obtained a Master's degree. As an immigrant and political asylee, I want to work with Latino communities to support cultural, social, and labor integration processes, as well as intervene appropriately with issues related to mental health, migratory grief, and trauma derived from the migratory journey. I am interested in the environmental issue, because it is a reality that many people must migrate forcefully due to climate change, and face new challenges and challenges outside their ancestral territories.
