Dr. Yarneccia D. Dyson is an award-winning innovative thought leader, higher education strategist, and subject matter expert, with over 20 years’ experience in supervisory and leadership roles. She is a Professor and the Executive Director & Head of the School of Social Work at North Carolina State University. She is passionate about inclusive and equity-centered practices in higher education, faculty development, advancing Anti-Black and Anti-Racist practices in all systems as well as applying a futurist approach to social work education. Her research interests focus on improving the health, access, and well-being of historically oppressed communities, mentoring experiences for student and faculty development, as well as improving the sexual and reproductive health outcomes among women & girls and Black College Students.
