Janet Shapiro is Dean and the Mary Chase Hale Professor of Social Work and Social Science at Bryn Mawr College. Dr. Shapiro's work focused on the application of developmental theory to applied practice in community-based settings. She is particularly interested in developmental transitions and the impact of community context on developmental transitions across the lifespan.
