Claudette Grinnell-Davis is an associate professor of social work at the University of Oklahoma, where they teach mental health and direct family services courses. With their community partners in another Midwestern state, they support local and state efforts to improve child welfare service delivery, particularly for Native families. Her other research interests include parenting interventions in child welfare, pregnancy and parenting among foster youth, the concept of "chosen family", and the role of friendship in inental health.
