Latoya S. Hogg, Ph.D., MSW is a part-time lecturer at Howard University. Dr. Hogg received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Tyler, a Master of Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University, and her Ph.D. in social work from Howard University. Her research focused on the impostor phenomenon in Black social work Ph.D. students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Dr. Hogg's research interests include HBCU social work programs, Black social work doctoral student experiences, and increasing research rigor in social work education. Dr. Hogg has over ten years of professional experience in the field of social work. Before pursuing her Ph.D., she worked in various capacities in the child welfare field, holding positions ranging from case management to program administration. Dr. Hogg is now a Senior Analyst for the U.S. Government Accountability Office. She has also held adjunct faculty positions at Champlain College, Howard University, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the University of Texas at Arlington.
