Kim Hokanson, PhD, MSW, LCSW is a lecturer at Boston University School of Social Work where she teaches reproductive justice, child welfare policy, ethics, and research methods. Her research uses community-engaged and mixed methods approaches to examine how to retain and support child welfare social workers, how they experience and navigate oppressive systems, and how to better serve families in "the world we dream about and the one we live in now."
