Rachel Wyman, BSW, MSW Student

Ms. Rachel Wyman holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree and is currently a Master of Social Work Student in the School of Social Work. A seven-year Army Veteran herself, she is funded in the Veterans Affairs Work Study Program. She is involved in engaging, recruiting, and supporting student Veterans in this collaborative project. Her accomplishments include winning the Veteran’s Alliance of Texas State (VATS) “Above and Beyond Student Recipient Award” during Fall of 2021. From Fall 2021 to Spring 2023 Rachel was voted in as the treasurer for VATS and advocated for female student veteran issues, veteran transitions into college atmospheres, and helped initiate female veteran and military connected yoga events.
