Lana Hart Elkins is a Clinical Faculty member and the Director of Assessment & Compliance at the University of South Carolina College of Social Work. Her B/MSW teaching has focused on ethics, case method, interviewing, large systems theory, practice with organizations and communities and socialization to the profession. In her assessment role, she leads educational assessment practices and coordinates reaffirmation and accreditation compliance efforts. Before her appointment at USC, she was an advocate for people with disabilities, performed quality assurance for hospitals and operated a successful private business. She received her MSW from the University of South Carolina and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Practice and Innovation with a concentration in Curriculum Studies.
