e alexander is an assistant professor in the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare. Centering Black, Indigenous, and People of Color women and femmes: their work focuses on anti-racist and anti-colonialist approaches to research, training, professionalization, organizational operations, and labor politics. Dr. alexander has a practice and scholarly background in both higher education and social work; they advocate viewing higher education through a multi-level social work lens such that campuses are service providers, students are service users, campus professionals (including faculty) are service providers, and professionals from minoritized backgrounds (including faculty and staff) are also sometimes service users. Dr. alexander considers teaching, training, and administrative work to be interventions that can help address the many social issues that often arise on college campuses.
