David Puvaneyshwaran, MSW (he/him/his)

David Puvaneyshwaran is a first year PhD Student at the Factor-Interwash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto, who has a research focus on applied theatre interventions, specifically Theatre of the Oppressed and its impact on critical consciousness amongst vulnerable populations.He has worked with several marginalised populations in a groupwork and community work capacity. In his latest research endeavor, David used Theatre of the Oppressed to examine the shifts in critical consciousness amongst Gay, Bisexual, and Queer men.
