As an accomplished professional with a Ph.D. from the University of Louisville and extensive post-doctoral education, I currently serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geriatric and Family Medicine at the University of Louisville and am a faculty member at the Trager Institute. Having successfully completed the HRSA Geriatric Academic Career Award, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to my role. My commitment to education is underscored by my active involvement in various professional memberships and activities, including being an engaged member of NAGE. Throughout my academic journey, I have held positions such as Instructor and Program Manager, contributing significantly to the success of initiatives like the Kentucky Rural Underserved Geriatric Interdisciplinary Education Program. My dedication to interprofessional collaboration is evident through my participation in programs like the Flourish initiative and the Interprofessional Curriculum for the Care of Older Adults (ICCOA). Engaging in impactful research, my interests span a wide range, including older adults in rural communities, those living with multiple chronic conditions, and strategies for interprofessional collaboration. Beyond academia, I have contributed to the community by serving on various boards and committees, reflecting my commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of older adults.
