Dr. Mahasin Saleh is an Associate Professor in the Master of Social Work Program at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. She worked as an Associate Professor and the Founding Program Director of the Texas Woman’s University-University of North Texas Joint MSW Program where she led the establishment of the first Joint MSW Program in Texas. Dr. Saleh also worked in the UK at University of Bradford where she was the Post Qualifying Programme Director of Consolidation of Social Work Practice and a faculty member. She also served as a US Fulbright Scholar Associate Professor at Bethlehem University in Palestine where she helped to establish BU’s Master of Social Work program. Dr. Saleh was a tenured Associate Professor of Social Work at University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). In addition to her research and classroom teaching duties at UNR, she served as UNR Principal Investigator of the Nevada Training Partnership for Child Welfare and the Lead Social Work Curriculum Expert for the US Center for Disease Control's Frontier Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Regional Training Center. Her research focuses on the intersections of fatherhood, child welfare, and diversity. Some of her recent research includes the Experiences of Palestinian Children Visiting their Fathers in Israeli detention; Stress, Coping, and Support of Palestinian Parents with Children with Disabilities; and Psychosocial Support and Coping of British Minority Parents with Children with Down Syndrome.
