Marcia Whitaker, BS is a Graduate Student, working towards her Master’s in Social Work, at East Tennessee State University, where she also received her undergraduate Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Her interests include learning indigenous history, culture, and how she can contribute her services to Indigenous Peoples after graduation. Marcia is a member of the Osage Nation of Pawhuska, OK and is beginning to learn more about her indigenous cultural from some of the elders. Marcia has worked for Ballad Health, in the Behavioral Health Department, as a Behavioral Health Therapy Assistant for over five years and has worked in healthcare for over fifteen years.
