Dr. Caroline Campbell is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at the Center for Social Work Education at Widener University and serves as the MSW On Campus Program Director. She received her MSW from Temple University in 2003 and a Ph.D in Social Welfare at Widener University in 2023. Her social work practice has focused on working with vulnerable communities, specifically in the areas of maternal/child health, parent home-visiting models, domestic violence, prevention programming with youth, and trauma in the Latino community in Philadelphia. Outside of this, she spends time training communities in trauma awareness and consulting with nonprofit social service organizations on topics of trauma, compassion fatigue, and reflective supervision. Her current research interests focus on community and collective models of trauma healing, transformative teaching in social work, mind-body interventions, practitioner wellbeing, and the role of collective care and peer support in social work organizations.
