Dr. Kim holds the position of Tenured Associate Professor within the School of Social Work at Northern Kentucky University. She is a nationally well-known, widely recognized, and distinguished figure in the fields of scholarship, education, and community engagement. Dr. Kim has held significant roles as the academic affairs faculty diversity fellow. She has been honored with the prestigious 2021 Distinguished Recent Contributions to Social Work Education Award by the Council on Social Work Education, a notable accolade in the realm of U.S. Social Work Education. Dr. Kim currently serves as the president of the Korean American Social Work Educators Association in the US. She also serves on the Regional Behavioral Health Workforce Coalition Advisory Committee in the Greater Cincinnati Region, Ohio. Dr. Kim envisions the opportunity to navigate various challenges and build bridges between healthcare professional fields.
