Dr. Nguyen is Assistant Professor of Social Work at University of Southern Indiana. He received his Ph. D., and master degrees in social work from University of Pittsburgh and Boston College. He has many years teaching social work in Vietnam and working with international non-profit organizations to improve the lives of vulnerable populations such as disadvantaged children, people with disabilities in Vietnam and immigrants in the United States. His research areas focus on the impact of religiosity on adolescent substance use, school bullying, mental health problems, and international social work.
