Dr. Lanham has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Family Studies and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Denver. Dr. Lanham has been a psychotherapist in the mental health and substance use disorder field for over 29 years and is currently a full-time Tenured Professor at Campbellsville University for the past eleven years. Dr. Lanham's research interests lie in the areas of global engagement, mental health, rural women, and collaborative learning. In 2020, Dr. Lanham was an Appalachian College Association Fellow in Rural Women and Job Dislocation. In 2019-2021, she served as Faculty Champion for the Social Workers on the Front Line of the Opioid Epidemic Learning Collaborative in partnership with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and CSWE. She is currently involved in various collaborative research projects focused on transformational learning, integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and collaborative learning, and interprofessional development. Dr. Lanham has also led students abroad to study peace-building initiatives in Ireland. She is a postgraduate Social Policy and Practice student at Trinity College Dublin.
