Libby (she/her) Fry, LMSW, CNP, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Social Work Department at University of Northern Iowa. After completing her BSW and MSW, she worked in the profession for over 12 years. She primarily worked with families and adolescents, focusing on family support and health education. Eventually becoming an adjunct instructor, Ms. Fry found a new passion in working with and teaching college students. After 8 years as an adjunct, she accepted a full-time instructor position at the University of Northern Iowa, where she continues to teach. In collaboration with department colleagues, she has contributed to the development, implementation, and continued improvements of implicit bias assessment measures within the university department. Her research interests focus on understanding and improving affirming care for transgender and gender diverse individuals and addressing implicit bias in social work education settings.
