Ashley Trautman serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Montana School of Social Work. Ashley’s practice experience has primarily focused on trauma informed systems development work. This has included providing training and technical assistance to partnering tribal nations working to build or enhance trauma informed and culturally relevant systems of care. An extension of this work has included training and support to non-Native individuals and organizations on anti-racist practice and cultural humility. In her role as faculty in the School of Social Work, Ashley teaches courses on difference, diversity and oppression as well as policy practice. Ashley’s research and scholarly interests include attention to anti-racism and equity in organizations and policy practice.
