Dr. Susan Mason is Professor of Social Work and Sociology at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University. She co-authored several well-received books, including Diagnosis Schizophrenia, School-linked Services, Community Healthcare in Cuba, and the upcoming Handbook for Social Work Writing. Additionally, she has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Her latest book, the Handbook for Social Work Writing focuses on communication skills to enhance student's written competencies. A past editor-in-chief of the peer-reviewed journal, Families in Society, has hands-on experience with writing for publication skills. Dr. Mason is a graduate of Columbia School of Social Work for her Masters in Social Work, and Columbia’s Graduate Faculty and Teacher’s College dual program in Sociology and Education. She is also an institute-trained clinician in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
