Eun Jeong Lee, Ph.D., is a lecturer in the Department of Human Services at NYC College of Technology, City University of New York (CUNY) as well as the Founder & President of the Asian American Resources and Information Network (AARIN), a nonprofit organization that promotes community-based research, develops evidence-based practices, and provides resources and information in Asian communities. Previously, she served as National Director of the National Asian Pacific Center on Aging in Seattle, WA, and managed a federally funded employment program for low-income older adults in 7 states. Dr. Lee’s research focuses on financial security, cancer prevention, elder mistreatment, caregiver, and health disparities in Asian American communities. One of her initiatives developed on evidence-based practice called “Healthy Eating Healthy Aging”, was recognized as innovative and awarded by the American Society on Aging (ASA) as well as the Community Organization Recognition Award (CORA) by the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus for Public Health. Her current research projects are Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, caregiving issues, mental health/health disparities, and immigrant issues among older Asian American adults and community-based organizations. Dr. Lee earned a Ph.D. in social welfare from Yeshiva University in New York.
