John Edwards received an A.B. from the University of Chicago and a J.D. (cum laude) from Howard University School of Law. He was awarded a Master of Social Service from the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research at Bryn Mawr College, where he is currently a doctoral candidate. He is the recipient of several honors while at Bryn Mawr, including the McPherson Award for Excellence and L. Diane Bernard Award for LGBT and Human Sexuality Projects. John has many years of experience working with members of LGBTQ+ communities and individuals living with mental health and substance misuse disorders. After several years as an adjunct instructor, John was appointed a Visiting Instructor of Social Work and Social Research for the 2024-2025 academic year.
