D.Lynn Jackson is Professor of Professional Practice and the Director of Field Education for Texas Christian University Department of Social Work. As the Field Director, she oversees the Bachelors and Masters of Social Work internships for the program. She also serves as the Assistant Dean for Strategic Initiatives for the Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences where she leads interprofessional activities, study abroad, and strategic planning for the College. In addition to Field Seminar, Jackson teaches Policy at the BSW level and Adminstration and Management at the MSW level. Dr. Jackson has over 40 years of professional social work practice experience and is licensed as a clinical social worker. She has been a long-time advocate in reproductive justice and is currently working on a project to help more domestic violence and homeless shelters become pet friendly- an initiative with the National Academies of Practice (Social Work and Veterinary Academies).
