Dr. Kiana Webb-Robinson earned a B.S.W. degree from Alabama State University in 2005. She earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Alabama in 2011 and her doctorate in social work from the University of Kentucky in 2023. Dr. Webb-Robinson's practice work includes child welfare and adult protective social work, school-based therapy and social work, and juvenile mental health coordinator for federal offenders before her journey into higher education ten years ago at the request of a former mentor and professor. Since then, she has been a tenure-track professor and social work field director.
Her leadership roles have included being a State Southwest representative for NASW, Arkansas. State Southwest representative for NASW and unique chairs committee for Colorado. C.S.W.E. national task force for E.P.A.S. committee members. Dr. Webb-Robinson has served as a Council on Field Education member through C.S.W.E. for three years. In 2022, she was elected to chair of the Council on Social Work Field Education, which comes with a commission appointment to the Commission on Educational Policy.
Dr. Webb-Robinson's research and expertise in critical race theory and dedication to D.E.I. efforts in practice and now in the classroom is a testament to her commitment. to spaces representative of the population she serves. Her work has been
recognized through publications, lectures, and invitations to speak at various conferences.
