Pre-Conference Leadership Development Institute: Identifying Leadership Principles Using the Bolman and Deal Four-Frame Model

This session will provide an overview of the Bolman and Deal four-frame model for organizational leadership, including the structural, human resource, political, and symbolic frames. Leadership principles relevant to each frame will be introduced. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the frames-related leadership principles most relevant to their leadership.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the Bolman and Deal Four-Frames Model for organizational leadership.
  2. Upon completion, participants will be able to identify leadership principles associated with each of the four frames.
  3. Upon completion, participants will be able to articulate the leadership principles most relevant to their own leadership style.
