Behavioral health providers play a crucial role in supporting individuals with transitional and recovery housing services. This study identified client barriers accessing transitional housing, as reported by 95 behavioral health providers located in the Southwest. Barriers highlight important targets for intervention.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to identify and analyze barriers to accessing transitional housing for clients to enhance their understanding of systemic challenges and inform advocacy efforts.
Participants will be equipped with tools to tackle obstacles in accessing transitional housing and techniques for offering customized assistance to clients facing challenges in navigating transitional housing.
Participants will gain knowledge and tools to utilize when working with people who have histories with the legal and carceral systems to foster more inclusive and supportive recovery environments and expand transitional housing access for all.
