Session: Simulations in Social Work Education

Social Work Simulations and Their Impact on BSW Student Learning

Simulations are a unique teaching method in which an individual can build their clinical skills while remaining in a safe environment. This project offered BSW students the opportunity to participate in a simulation and asked for their feedback on improving and adapting simulations to better fit their learning needs.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Upon completion, the participant will be able to understand best practices for developing simulations for BSW students
  2. Upon completion, the participant will be able to determine the positives and negatives of implementing a simulation program for BSW students
  3. Upon completion, the participant will be able to create a BSW-level simulation within their program, if desired
