Interdisciplinary Approach: Practices for Training for Healthcare Workers Addressing Child Sex Trafficking Cases

This session will discuss current practices that healthcare workers can use while working with female child sex trafficking victims in emergency department settings (ED). It will discuss recommendations and essential elements of a theoretical framework that can inform future female child sex trafficking training for interdisciplinary ED healthcare workers.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Upon completion, attendees will be able to know current practices that healthcare workers can use while working with female child sex trafficking victims in emergency department settings (ED).
  2. Upon completion, attendees will be able to know recommendations/suggestions for future training about working with female child sex trafficking victims in ED settings.
  3. Upon completion, attendees will be able to know essential elements of a theoretical framework that can inform future child sex trafficking training for interdisciplinary ED healthcare workers.
