University-Community Partnerships

Assessing Participatory University-Industry Collaboration: The CorpCollab (C2) Model

Though social work education programs are primed to take advantage of university-industry collaborations, (UICs), few formal models exist. This presentation explores the deployment of CorpCollab (C2), a unique UIC model that seeks to better position academic programs to be more aligned with contemporary workforce realities, no matter the practice setting.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants who engage in this presentation will: (a) appreciate the importance of university-industry partnerships in actualizing research, teaching, and service missions;
  2. (b) understand findings associated with this case study; and,
  3. (c) gain familiarity with a partnership model conducive for workforce pipeline development, more generally, and pipelines from social work programs into that workforce, more specifically.
